MCP connector

Use AutoSeoPro.ai fromClaude, ChatGPT and Cursor

Connect your AI assistant to your AutoSeoPro.ai workspace: ask about traffic, AI visibility, audits, backlinks and social posts, and make changes you confirm first.

  • Included in the Growth, Agency, Scale and Enterprise plans

Server URL

One URL for every client. Sign-in uses OAuth (you approve access in AutoSeoPro.ai), or paste an API key as a Bearer header in clients that support headers.

https://autoseopro.ai/api/mcp

Claude (claude.ai and Claude Desktop)

  1. Open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it AutoSeoPro.ai and paste the server URL: https://autoseopro.ai/api/mcp
  3. Click Connect. Sign in to AutoSeoPro.ai when asked.
  4. Choose the website (or all websites), tick “Also allow changes” only if Claude may prepare changes, and click Allow.
  5. In a chat, enable the AutoSeoPro.ai connector from the tools menu and ask a question.

Team and Enterprise plans: an owner adds the connector once in the organization settings; members then connect their own AutoSeoPro.ai account.

ChatGPT (apps and connectors)

  1. Open Settings → Apps & Connectors. If custom connectors are not listed, turn on developer mode under Advanced settings.
  2. Choose Create (or Add connector) and paste the server URL: https://autoseopro.ai/api/mcp
  3. Select OAuth as the authentication and save.
  4. Sign in to AutoSeoPro.ai, choose the website and click Allow.
  5. In a new chat, select the AutoSeoPro.ai connector and ask a question.

ChatGPT asks you before any tool that changes data runs; AutoSeoPro.ai additionally requires its own preview and confirmation.

Changes are always confirmed

Every tool that changes something comes in two steps. A preview_* tool changes nothing: it shows exactly what would change and returns a confirmation token valid for 10 minutes. Only the matching apply_* tool, called with that token, makes the change.

  • A token works once, and only for the connection (API key or person) that previewed it.
  • If the item changed after the preview, the change is refused and you preview again.
  • The person the connection acts for must still have a role that allows the change on that website.
  • Fact-checks of articles are never recorded through MCP; people do that in AutoSeoPro.ai.
  • Every call, read or change, is recorded in the workspace activity log.

  • get_article articles:readGet one article with its full HTML body, SEO title, meta description and content_hash.

  • get_audit_summary audits:readGet the latest technical SEO/GEO audit scores, check counts and open issues for a website.
  • get_performance reports:readGet a website's Google Search Console and GA4 numbers: last 28 days vs the 28 before, last 7 days vs the 7 before, top pages and queries, sessions and AI-assistant referrals. Use it to explain traffic changes; it never estimates.
  • get_geo_visibility reports:readGet a website's latest AI visibility (GEO) run score and citations, and AI crawler / AI assistant visits for the last 28 days.
  • list_metadata_proposals metadata:readList a website's SEO title / meta description proposals (page URL, current vs proposed, state). Filter state=proposed for the ones awaiting a decision.
  • get_backlink_report backlinks:readGet verified live backlinks, lost links, referring domains and the measured growth each link brought (Search Console before/after, GA4 referrals).
  • get_client_report_link reports:readCheck whether a website has an active client report share link and when it expires. To create a new link, use preview_client_report_link then apply_client_report_link.
  • list_notifications notifications:readList recent AutoSeoPro.ai notifications (published articles, audits, alerts) for the connected person; filter unread.
  • get_site_health audits:readGet a website's latest technical audit scores and top issues plus real-user Core Web Vitals, including whether AutoSeoPro.ai article pages are slower than the rest of the site. Use it for 'what should I fix first?'.
  • get_crawl_summary audits:readGet the latest full-site audit of a website: site health, the prioritised fix plan (fix these first, quick wins, bigger projects), the trend since the previous audits and what could not be measured. Use it for 'what should I fix first?'.
  • list_crawl_issues audits:readList the problems found by a website's latest full-site audit, highest priority first, with why, how, affected pages and example URLs. Filter by severity, impact or area.
  • list_crawl_issue_urls audits:readList the URLs affected by one full-site audit issue (use an issue code from list_crawl_issues), 50 per page, most linked-to first; optionally one page type.
  • get_social_plan social:readShow a website's Social AI Manager plan (next 7 days by default): ideas with their pillar, posts per platform, time, caption excerpt and approval/lock state, plus the brief's pillar mix and cadence. Read-only.
  • list_social_results social:readGet a website's social media results for a period (default last 30 days): posts, impressions, reach, engagements and clicks by platform. Read-only.

Preview a change (changes nothing, returns a token)

  • preview_metadata_proposal_decision metadata:writeStep 1 of 2 to approve or reject a metadata proposal: shows what would change and returns a confirmation_token. Changes nothing. Show the preview to the user and only call apply_metadata_proposal_decision after they explicitly confirm.
  • preview_article_approval approvals:writeStep 1 of 2 to approve an article for publishing: shows the article and what approval would do, returns a confirmation_token. Changes nothing. Fact-checking cannot be done here (people do it in AutoSeoPro.ai).
  • preview_article_request generation:writeStep 1 of 2 to have AutoSeoPro.ai write a new article for a tracked keyword: checks the keyword and the plan allowance, returns a confirmation_token. Changes nothing.
  • preview_client_report_link sharing:writeStep 1 of 2 to create a shareable client report link (anyone with the link can view the report for 30 days): shows the sections, returns a confirmation_token. Changes nothing; no e-mail is sent.

Make a change (needs the preview's token, or a restorable article edit)

  • update_article articles:writeChange an article's title and/or HTML body. Saved as a restorable revision; never publishes. Refused if it removes internal links AutoSeoPro.ai placed. Pass expected_content_hash from get_article to avoid overwriting someone else's change.
  • replace_featured_image articles:writeReplace an article's featured image with a public https image URL. Saved as a restorable revision; never publishes.
  • apply_metadata_proposal_decision metadata:writeStep 2 of 2. CHANGES DATA: records the approval/rejection previewed by preview_metadata_proposal_decision. Requires its confirmation_token. Only call after the user explicitly confirmed the preview.
  • apply_article_approval approvals:writeStep 2 of 2. CHANGES DATA: approves the article previewed by preview_article_approval so it can be published. Requires its confirmation_token. Only call after the user explicitly confirmed.
  • apply_article_request generation:writeStep 2 of 2. CHANGES DATA and uses plan allowance: queues the article previewed by preview_article_request. Requires its confirmation_token. Only call after the user explicitly confirmed.
  • apply_client_report_link sharing:writeStep 2 of 2. CHANGES DATA: creates the shareable client report link previewed by preview_client_report_link and returns its URL. Requires its confirmation_token. Only call after the user explicitly confirmed.

Things to ask

  • Why did traffic drop last week on my main website?
  • What should I fix first? Use the audit and page speed.
  • How visible are we in AI assistants, and is it improving?
  • Show the metadata suggestions waiting for approval and approve the one for /rigid-boxes.
  • Show next week's social posts.
  • Write a new article for the keyword “emergency plumber”.

Public server (no login)

A separate, free MCP server anyone can add without an account. It checks a public website's basic SEO and links to the Free SEO & AI Visibility Report. It never sees customer data and changes nothing. It is available when the AutoSeoPro.ai team has switched it on.

https://autoseopro.ai/api/mcp/public
  • check_website_seo_ai_visibilityFree, no sign-up. Reads up to a few public pages of a website and returns the top 3 basic SEO findings (titles, descriptions, headings, thin content, structured data, contact details) plus the AI-visibility headline when a free report exists, with a link to the full Free SEO & AI Visibility Report by AutoSeoPro.ai. Results are cached for 24 hours per website.
  • get_free_report_linkFree, no sign-up. Starts (or reuses, for 7 days) the Free SEO & AI Visibility Report by AutoSeoPro.ai for a website and returns its link. The report asks AI assistants real customer questions to see whether they name the business, and suggests a 30-day plan. The person confirms their business details on the report page.

Limits keep it free for everyone: calls per address per hour, a daily number of fresh website reads and new reports, and answers cached for 24 hours per website. Only public websites can be checked.

Privacy and security

The connector only returns your workspace's own data, limited to the websites and permissions you allowed. Access can be revoked at any time in Settings → Developers. Website text returned by tools is treated as data, never as instructions.
